Nix Companies Announces Acquisition of King’s Custom Machine

POSEYVILLE, IN (January 2, 2024) – Nix Companies Inc. is proud to announce that it has acquired King’s Custom Machine, an Evansville, IN, based company specializing in general machining, industrial repair, and custom fabrication. The King’s team will be merging with the NIX Poseyville, IN Machining team at our Frontage Road location. This opportunity will allow King’s  to maintain their services to their customers as well as gain additional resources within the NIX operations.

The previous owner, Matt Gilles, provided the following statement: “Over 37 years ago, I started as a machinist working for the founder of Kings, Bill King, out of his garage. Three years later, Kings moved to its current location for the next 34 years. I became an owner of Kings in 2006. Over these next 17 years, I have developed so many great relationships with my customers and this could not have been accomplished without my experienced and dedicated machinists supporting me in the business. My team and I are looking forward to this new chapter for Kings and we will continue to offer the same dedication, quality and support that has grown our business for the past 37 years. My employees and I are excited to be part of Nix Companies and the great opportunities it will bring to me and my dedicated team of employees. We look forward to continuing to grow and build new working relationships as Nix Companies.”

Adam Nix, Vice President of Operations, who led this acquisition, offered the following statement about the acquisition: We are very excited with the acquisition of King’s Custom Machine. It is an honor to have the opportunity to continue the legacy of the business Bill King founded, and Matt Gilles has expanded upon since 2006. Matt has built an outstanding reputation and has a great team who will all be joining our Machining team in Poseyville. The acquisition will provide our Poseyville Machining operation with additional excellent team members with industry experience, and the continuity of servicing King’s customer base, some of which already overlap clients of NIX.”
