UHMW Wear Blocks

A customer came to us with UHMW wear blocks that were no longer available—no OEM drawings and no reliable sample to reference. Just a worn part and assembly prints.

We stepped in to rebuild the part from the ground up and deliver a repeatable solution.

Scope of Work:

  • Reverse engineered obsolete UHMW wear blocks using assembly drawings and a worn sample
  • Reconstructed part geometry and critical dimensions without OEM documentation
  • Developed a manufacturable design for long-term repeatability
  • Programmed and machined a prototype on our vertical CNC mill
  • Supplied sample part for customer fit-up and performance testing
  • Made adjustments based on real-world validation
  • Completed full production run after customer approval
  • Established a reliable path for future orders

Result:
Restored a critical component, reduced risk of downtime, and turned an unknown part into a repeatable production solution.
